Amber Henson, broker and owner of Urban Living and Development Inc., organized a tour of some of the downtown properties in Hot Springs that she has recently sold or that are presently for sale.
The tour included a ride on two trolleys from Hot Springs Trolley Tours, with speakers on each trolley to discuss the real estate possibilities in downtown Hot Springs. The group that attended the tour was composed of new investors, past investors and potential investors from the local area, Little Rock, Dallas and Nashville. All properties included in the tour are situated in the opportunity zone.
Local organizations that are vital link in the real estate business including Citizen's Bank and Lenders Title, as well as local business, including the Ohio Club, sponsored the tour.
Various businesses participated in the tour, including:
• Will's Cinnamon Shop, where attendees sampled various goodies and heard about the Byrd's expansion ideas.
• Core Brewing, where attendees sampled the craft beer.
• DeLuca's Pizzeria, where attendees sampled various pizzas.
• Vintage View -- VRBO, 802 Central Ave., second floor.
• Capone's Loft -- VRBO, 802 Central Ave., third floor.
• Beau D'or -- VRBO, 831 Central, unit 200.
Local businesses and properties that were featured on the tour included:
• The former Goddard Hotel and adjacent properties on Chapel Street, with investors looking to add retail and residential space.
• 214 Ouachita, the former Lambert Book Store with residential space upstairs and two retail spaces on the main floor.
• 228 Orange, former Hot Springs high school gym, available for rent during the week, non-denominational church.
• 236 Central, Medical Arts Building, 15th floor with incredible views of downtown and the national park.
• 201 Central -- Former Howe/ DeSoto Hotel, houses DeSoto rock shop.
• Lodestone -- Site for upcoming reptile garden.
• 1100 Park -- The Mountainaire, Art Deco style buildings offering private balconies and fireplaces.
At the end of the trolley tour, attendees returned to the Park Hotel to enjoy appetizers from Angel's in the Park. Investment opportunities were discussed including the KingDom and the Reptile Garden.
