A Jessieville woman previously convicted of a felony was arrested Tuesday after multiple firearms, drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly found at her residence during a routine home visit by her probation officer.
Katie Kristine Lillard, 28, of 143 Little Blakely Creek Road, was taken into custody at her residence shortly before noon and charged with seven felony counts of possession of a firearm by certain persons and felony possession of drug paraphernalia, each punishable by up to six years in prison, and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, punishable by up to one year in jail.
Lillard was being held on bonds totaling $22,000 and appeared Wednesday in Garland County District Court.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Lillard was convicted of felony second-degree domestic battery in March 2018 and placed on felony probation with a warrantless search waiver on file.
Around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Officers Tyler Ward, Casey Dobbs and Robert Taylor from Hot Springs Probation and Parole conducted a home visit to Lillard's residence and made contact with her at the door and had her sit on the sofa with her minor child while they conducted a search.
In plain sight on a dresser in the bedroom, the officers reportedly found a box containing marijuana in separate baggies and several items of paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana. A loaded handgun was found on the dresser and six other loaded firearms were found in the bedroom closet, the affidavit states.
Among the firearms found were a Smith and Wesson .357 magnum revolver, a 12-gauge pump shotgun, a .30-06 Axis rifle, a .22-caliber long rifle, two Mossberg 12-gauge shotguns and a Ruger 10/22 rifle. Also found were multiple boxes of ammunition.
Garland County Sheriff's investigators responded to process the firearms and drugs. A report was filed with the Department of Human Services hotline and a DHS worker responded to the scene and took custody of the child.Local on 10/11/2018
