Is there a hidden code within the Holy Scriptures that one must unlock and decipher? Are there passages of scripture we can turn to so we may grasp the significance of this hidden message? Did you know this hidden code will lead to a treasure beyond measure?
The first clue will reveal how to approach this enigma. In Isaiah 28:9-10 we read, "Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand the message?" Here is an important clue, "Will it be those just weaned from milk, and just drawn from the breasts?"
Going on to Hebrews 5:12, "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, yet you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles (or sayings) of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food." Are you one of these believers falling under this situation and here staying, not maturing in spiritual knowledge?
Continuing in Isaiah 28:10, "For precept must be upon precept, line upon line, here a little, there a little." Therefore, the key to revealing clue one; we must read the Holy Scriptures extensively in order to begin deciphering this mystery.
Let's look at a few scriptures to indeed see the message is "in plain sight." Colossians 1:26-27, "The mystery (or hidden truth) which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. The riches of this mystery is Christ living in you, the hope of glory." In practicing code one, you are led to the understanding of code two; Jesus Christ actually dwells within you. Why? Romans 8:9, "You are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you."
The second clue, Jesus Christ's spirit dwells within you, unlocking the enigma. Continue in Romans 8 verse 9, if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, that person is not a part of the saints, the elect of God. The Spirit gives life (eternal life), for the flesh profits nothing. The words Jesus spoke is from the Spirit, and they are life and we know Him, hear Him and want to serve Him due to this indwelling.
John 14:17, "The Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knows Him; but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you."
What's the third clue? Matthew 13:11, "He answered and said, Because it is given unto you to know the hidden truths of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them (the uncalled) it is not given." This is the reason Jesus spoke in parables, not understanding, they rejected Him and His Gospel.
The third clue, the Lord opens your understanding to hear and believe, a desire to believe the truth regarding salvation. Read John 6:63-65, with this understanding the scriptures are unlocked for you, allowing you to grow in the Spirit. God the Father does the calling, John 2:39 and He adds to the Body of Christ whom He will, Acts 2:39 and 47.
Lydia was called to understand the mysteries of God, Acts 16:14. For the Father gives the increase of believers, 1 Corinthians 3:6 and 7. These passages reveal the coded message. It's really in "plain sight" for those who have been called.
In Jesus, we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. In Jesus we trust after we have heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of our salvation, sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, read Ephesians 1:11-13. So, let's continue to practice these codes that lead to eternal life, the greatest treasure man will ever be offered.
