DAR chapter has American's Creed program
The Hot Springs of Arkansas Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will hear special guest Honorary ASDAR Regent Mary Deere at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Melting Pot Genealogical Society Library, 649B Ouachita Ave., back door of the Garland County Election Commission. She is a member of the ASDAR speaker staff and longtime member of the Paraclifta Chapter NSDAR in Benton. Deere will present a program on the anniversary of the American's Creed. Visitors welcome. Steak dinner Friday at VFW Post 2278
VFW Post 2278, 2231 E. Grand Ave., will hold a steak dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday. Dinner includes a 10-ounce sirloin, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled green beans, roll and dessert for $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Proceeds go to help local veterans.
