Jackie Wayne Beane went to be with the Lord on Oct. 10, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jackie Beane is known by all who love him as a person who loves life. He brings joy and laughter to the lives of many. Jackie has now joined with the God he has so faithfully served; and we rejoice in the promise that the pain is gone. Preceded by his parents, Dorman George Washington (Jack) Beane and Autilla Elgene (Shotty) Johnston Beane; and his brother, Wendell Johnston Beane.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Chitsey Beane, of 48 years; two children, Kimberly Lynn Violett and Leslie D. Beane; six grandchildren, Justin Scott Blurton, Ashley Christine Violett Smith, Charles Lee Dyer, Zachary Cole Winter Violett, Tiffany Cheyenne Beane Tyson and Madison Elise Beane; five great-grandchildren, Lyla Danielle Smith, Jackson Lynn Blurton, Meckensie Lynn-Paige Tyson, Coraline Elaine Smith and Marin Jaclyn Joyce Tyson. He also has one nephew, Bryan Beane, from Brownwood, Texas.

Jackie is a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, where he joyfully sang in the choir and performed with the Hot Springs Fun City Chorus.

Jackie had many loves in his life, however, he truly loved his profession in the aircraft industry. He was the first one that could hear a plane and know all of the nuts and bolts of what made it fly and the engine size. He loved re-engineering anything he could find. He also loved fishing of any kind and occasionally going to the horse races. In his younger life, he loved to hunt in his hometown Snyder, Texas. He was a true "West Texas Man." He truly loved life, traveling, family and friends.

He also worked as an aircraft engineer around the world. He also enjoyed two years in Basel, Switzerland, as he finished his career. We were called back to the states due to health concerns.

His memorial will be Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 213 Whittington Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901. The service will begin at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to Barr Memorial Church, P.O. Box 7, Norman, AR 71960; or First Presbyterian Church, 213 Whittington Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901. (Should you want to send flowers, please send potted plants, as we like for life to continue on.)
