The Literacy Council of Garland County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which has been active in our community since 1983. Our organization's mission is to enhance success in daily life by building literacy skills. We offer our services to adults, who want to improve their ability to read, write and speak English.
The board of directors would like to thank our outgoing executive director, Laura Lee Willard, for her two and a half years of service and dedication to the Literacy Council. She was instrumental in increasing community awareness of our organization, always encouraging people to become involved. We wish her the very best in her future undertakings.
Our mission continues into 2018 with new plans to expand volunteer opportunities and community programs. Low literacy impacts the economics of our entire region. Please consider your end-of-the-year tax-deductible donation as an investment in our community. Visit us at 119 Hobson or at http://www.LiteracyCouncil.xyz.
